Our Eco-business highlight of the month is also one of our longest customers. Imagine Nation Brewing has made an impressive effort even through the pandemic to divert organic waste from the local landfill. We had the opportunity meet brew guru Sean, who walked us through the brew-to-bin process. Every new batch of beers will have a yeast byproduct that instead of being wasted in the trash, is being saved in green bins and hauled to add into a nutrient rich compost.

The cycle is stopped when our waste is combined and sequestered into a landfill. Even in our beautiful city of Missoula, it is estimated that yard and food waste alone make up 28% of material in the landfill.
