Holidays Affecting Your Pickup Day

  • January 1st

  • Third Monday in January.

    MONDAY and TUESDAY pickups move forward a day. No change to Thursday and Friday.

  • Third Monday in May.

    MONDAY and TUESDAY pickups move forward a day. No change to Thursday and Friday.

  • Last Monday in May.

    MONDAY and TUESDAY pickups move forward a day. No change to Thursday and Friday.

  • July 4th

  • First Monday in September.

    MONDAY and TUESDAY pickups move forward a day. No change to Thursday and Friday.

  • Second Monday in October.

    MONDAY and TUESDAY pickups move forward a day. No change to Thursday and Friday.

  • Fourth Thursday in November.

    THURSDAY pick ups will be on Wednesday. No change to other route days.

  • December 25th

When a Holiday Falls On…

Monday: Monday and Tuesday pickups each move forward a day. No change to Thursday or Friday.

Tuesday: Tuesday pick-ups move forward one day to Wednesday. No change any other day.

Wednesday: No change, no current Wednesday routes

Thursday: Thursday pickups will be a day early; on Wednesday. No change on Friday.

Friday: Thursday and Friday pickups will fall back one day each. Thursday pickups will be on Wednesday, and Friday pickups will be on Thursday.

We send out email notifications via “netcomm” a week before route change. Please check spam mail if the notification is not received.

Bill Pay

At the end of your chosen billing period, you will receive a bill via email from ‘Netcom’. If billing monthly, this bill will reflect the previous month’s services, not the upcoming month.

We use Trashbilling to handle our accounts, on their portal you can pay your bill, change your card, or sign up for auto-pay. Please check your welcome email from ‘Missoula Compost Collections’ or any emailed bill for your account number.

Winter Options

Keeping your normal rate supports Missoula Compost throughout the winter months, ensuring we can provide the services you love year after year. However, we know that winter months reduce compost material and holidays tighten budgets. We offer winter options to support all needs.

Winter Rate

A winter rate reduces service costs to compensate for the volume of compostable material diminishing. Winter rates apply to select plans, excluding 5 and 10-gallon services. Fill out a request form to change your account to a winter rate.

Winter Bin

A winter bin is a small 5-gallon bin that is used during months with low compost volumes. This bin is the same cost as the winter rate, some members simply prefer utilizing a smaller bin. A one-time delivery fee will be applied for smaller bins upon initial delivery, after that, all bin changes will be free of charge. Switch bins out at your convenience. Simply call or fill out a request form to notify us of the switch; rates fluctuate with bin usage.

Winter Pause

A winter pause runs from November to March. Once you are done cleaning fall debris, put your compost bin into hibernation by utilizing a winter pause. All paused accounts will be automatically reactivated on the first day of spring. Pause extensions are available upon request.

Store your bin over winter to avoid bin transfer fees.
