New Store! New Staff! Just in Time for Earth Week Events!
Our New Store Front!
That’s right, we’re excited to welcome you to our new store!
You can now find us in the Home ReSource building at 1515 Wyoming St. Just look for the orange door, and you’ll know you’re in the right place.
Our new space gives us the opportunity to connect directly with our customers off-route. We are also offering compost-related goodies, and provide compost tools and materials to the community.
We hope to boost Missoulian’s access to compost information, material, and options so we can compost more easily and live more sustainably as a community.

New Addition to the Missoula Compost Team!
We’re also thrilled to introduce Elisabeth, the newest member of the Missoula Compost team! Elisabeth will be managing our new store and taking over the majority of account management.
Meet Elisabeth
Elisabeth, originally from Helena, Montana, moved to Missoula to study Environmental Studies at the University of Montana. She chose Missoula Compost because of her passion for waste reduction in Missoula and beyond. Elisabeth believes that community-wide composting is key to fostering climate resilience and replenishing one of the world’s most vital resources: soil. Her dedication to reducing her environmental footprint is evident in her creative approach to sustainability - so much so that she even learned how to manage her own vermicomposting worm farm as a teenager.
Outside of her work in environmental advocacy, Elisabeth enjoys the simple pleasures in life, including running, biking, cooking, painting, camping, and spending quality time with loved ones. She is thrilled to be joining the Missoula Compost team and is eager to share her enthusiasm for composting with the community.
Zero Waste Action Month
We’re proud to be opening our store during Zero Waste Action Month, also hosted by our friends at Home ReSource! Running from March 31 (International Zero Waste Day) through April 30, this month-long celebration is packed with community events that highlight local sustainability efforts and help raise awareness about the journey to zero waste. From movie nights and trivia to educational chats and repair clinics, there are so many ways to get involved and learn how we can all better care for our planet.
